Without it, there is no surety of money making. One of the main global sources is the developing economy China Business. Lead traders say that one of the many plus points of China Business lies in the beneficial geographical location. In the course of the present selection of the low-cost countries for global sourcing, China is one region that has received utmost consideration and attention. Hence, it is critical to recognize, understand and have a study of the characteristics that drive China Business as the principal resource of supply in the international trade.

As China sourcing and trade with the rest of the world has intensified, its composition and geographical outline has also undergone a noticeable shift in the global sourcing scenario. China Business’s share of overseas trade to industrialized economies has also shown an improvement and become more diversified.

Now China business is rich with a growing economy and trade. The Chinese upper-middle class has loads of money and like their neighbors, Korea, Japan and Taiwan; they too want to take a tour to exotic locations and foreign places. China travel business has considerably developed. Major countries like Australia have been added to the list of countries permitted by the Chinese government for Chinese visitors and travel groups.

China Business has a political chaos within the interiors of the country. It also is the most populated country across the globe. But still, its economy is on a high with government fun dings lending a hand to the ever growing Chinese economy. China Business will acquire the status of ‘the most visited country’, by 2020. Tourism has greatly increased over the last few decades. Emerging rich affluent business class and the relaxation in travel restrictions and rules by Chinese government has brought about this welcome change for a booming China travel business.

China Business in relation to global sourcing. E-commerce business in China is a thriving potential market in itself. New rules and regulations have been laid down for e-commerce management. Thus e-commerce has boosted China business and global sourcing. But protecting the overall interests of consumers and buyers who deal in e-commerce, using mode of payment in credit and debit cards, is also very necessary.

Apart from that, being geographically located in Asia, China Travel Business has a very good scope for expanding its market in its neighbor developing nations and acquiring chief place in such markets. There are several risks in the business and the insurance agency helps and provides assistance to the china trade industry. China Business is one region that has received utmost consideration and attention. Hence, it is critical to recognize, understand and have a study of the characteristics that drive China Business as the principal resource of supply in the international trade.

Inbound tourism in China has become the service that provides largest trade. The market areas from neighboring countries like India, Europe, etc. have accelerated. This has boosted the construction of infrastructural facilities, hotels, restaurants and malls.

Value of Internet

According to China Internet Network Information Centre (CNNIC), number of Internet users in China is more than 103,000,000 in 2005.

More than half of Chinese Internet users were below 25 years of age. Out of the total, 32 per cent are students, 12 per cent are professionals and nine per cent are from business and service sectors.

People use Internet mostly for email, reading news and searching for information via search engines. Online shopping spending in China in 2005 was around RMB 9 billions, and will rise to RMB 30 billions in 2007. You can expect there will be a doubled growth in the subsequent years.

With the above figures, business persons must understand the value of using Internet to explore China market. Search engine marketing should be the most cost-effective method to reach Chinese Internet users.

China Region

In fact, China region does not only refer to the Mainland of China. You may also be aware of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Interestingly, Chinese in these 3 different areas have very different cultures due to their historical backgrounds. Even in the Mainland, people from different provinces speak totally different accents of Chinese languages and also differ in their daily life practices. For example, people in GuangDong and Hong Kong usually speak Cantonese. They speak Mandarin only when they talk with people from other provinces. Moreover, people in Mainland and Taiwan are usually not that good in English. Yet in Hong Kong, many people can speak and read English well. Therefore, you must notice the differences in order to write effective website copies to cater for different China Region readers.

Another important thing to note is that people from Hong Kong, Taiwan, GuangDong, Shanghai and Beijing usually have a higher spending power.

Search Engines in China

Major search engines in China include Baidu, Google, Sina and Yahoo. According to a study by CNNIC, Baidu has 51.5% market share, Google has 32.9%, Sina has 4% and Yahoo has 3.7%. Just based on the above figures, you may think that it should be most appropriate to spend most of your effort in Baidu and Google, right? The answer is “Yes or No. It depends!” Why?

This is because China Region is large and with complicated cultural differences. It is difficult for you to target the whole China Region unless you have millions of budget. If you are small to medium sized companies, decide your target region and focus on it first. For example, if you choose Hong Kong as your target market, I can tell you Yahoo Hong Kong is the most frequently used search engine and no almost one uses Baidu in Hong Kong!

Another point worthwhile to mention is that Google is rated the best search engine in China and the rating means a highly probable translation to its future growth in market share, according to a study made by Keynote Systems.

Paid Search Engine Marketing

Popularity in paid search engine marketing (pay-per-click) in China is increasing. Baidu, Yahoo and Google have their own programs. In order to succeed in a complicated region, search engines mainly rely on agents to sell their pay-per-click marketing. Pay-per-click is a new concept in China, and people there think it is too far too complicated. Therefore, agents usually sell paid search engine marketing by monthly flat rate according to the different schemes. It is somewhat different with the western world.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization is quite a new concept in China but acceptance of this concept is increasing. Currently, there are many black-hat spammers and white-hat optimizers in the country. In China, people usually optimize for Google and Yahoo only, and use paid search engine marketing for Baidu.

The link building process in China region is somewhat different with the western world. Link exchange is uncommon in Hong Kong and Taiwan. It is far more popular in the Mainland. However, the link format is quite different. First, high quality links are usually obtained from personal/ business relationships. Second, reciprocal link format in the western world is usually composed of a Title with hyperlink and description of site but in Mainland, it is only composed of Title with hyperlink. Seems like a link farm? However, it is a common practice in China. Therefore, obtaining meaningful links in China region is no easy task.

Key Factor in Chinese Search Engine Marketing

Many people make a common mistake. Their websites do not have a Chinese version but they want to promote their website in the Mainland and in Taiwan. English may be their mother language but it is not a mother language for Chinese. To succeed, you must have a Chinese version. In addition, you need to notice that traditional Chinese is used in Hong Kong and Taiwan while simplified Chinese is used in Mainland. Sometimes, wordings used in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland are also different from each other.

If you are serious in getting online sales from Chinese but are not familiar with their languages and cultures, you had better use an Internet marketing company located in the China Region to help you.

If you choose a direct purchase for the China source, yo……u are asked to submit a Letter of Credit for payment purposes. Letters of Credit are documents that are .prepared with the help of a bank that offers some kind of .security to both the parties invo.lved in the business. Fund transfer mostly takes place when the product you want to outsource is ready for shipment and once all the shipping documents are submitted to the bank. The only disadvantage is that it is a very lengthy and complicated process and it can bind your money for a long time.

On the other hand, China source outsourcing through third parties offer a comparatively better deal, as it provides s…..upport for negotiating the terms and conditions. The third party and the Import/Export Company of China share a good relationship with each other, and that is the main reason for providing best deals. For purpose of making payments of the purchases, the third parties are trusted a lot by the China source companies. The terms and conditions in this case may have some clause for a part of payment, before shipping of the product and the balance payment of goods are checked for quality.

The lowest labor cost and high literacy level among the workers make it a very successful outsourcing business destination. But the low quality of transportation and means of communication is the biggest negative for China source business. The continuous economical and political flux also affects the success of China source outsourcing business. This makes the interested foreign companies to investigate thoroughly about the companies, so that they can handle various the forthcoming problems related to the business.

After looking for the product it is very important to check out for the quality of the product because a bad quality product will surely lead to the failure of the sourced project. Make the China source outsourcing company clear about the quality you want for your product. The quality issues include finishing of the surface, tolerance abilities, quality standards and specifications for the required product. These issues must be clearly stated in the contract documents. China source companies mostly follow Statistical Process Control rather than the ISO 9000 quality standards. On-site monitoring is the best method to ensure that the quality standards are properly followed during the manufacturing of the product. On-site monitoring is very essential because of the negative attitude of the local people. Chinese people tend to deny that they are wrong. So it is very important that a third party is involved in the deal that can perform on-site inspection.

Ever wondered if you could deal directly with manufacturers… in China?! It’s easier than you think.

First Impressions:I visited China in Autumn 2005 with a group of business associates and must admit that I was amazed, both by the warm reception we received wherever we went, and at the factories we toured. Having never been there before, and having only news accounts of “difficulties” between China and the U.S. to fuel my imagination, I assumed things would be overly formal and official at best… at worst, cold… and we would be “watched” constantly. I was so wrong on both counts. We were treated as welcome visitors and had only to ask the hotel staff for something to have it almost magically produced.

Lost in Translation:Outside of the hotels and manufacturing facilities, doing business in the streets and in small shops was, at most times, terribly difficult. We had arranged our factory visits and business meetings with our contacts in China, and there were no problems on that side when it came to language. But once we stepped out on our own, we rarely found anyone – even in tourist gift shops – who could communicate in English at all. Next time I visit China, I’ll hopefully be armed with a few more basic Mandarin phrases, but for everyone visiting, even just for leisure, I’d recommend hiring translators to assist you.

Cash in China:Another word of warning: business owners back home in the States may be suitably impressed by your Gold Card, but to the Chinese shopkeeper it’s just a pretty piece of plastic that won’t buy a cup of Chinese tea. Even in the large cities, you’re going to have to carry around Chinese Yuan (aka Renminbi) in cash if you want to be able to go shopping or eat at a restaurant. I have to say, the upside of this is that you won’t find yourself going over budget. But with the incredibly low Chinese retail prices, that probably wouldn’t happen anyway.

Low Retail Prices:Once you’ve overcome the communication difficulties you’ll be amazed to find the bargains you’ll find in the small shops. For a start, it’s an electronics paradise. Just make sure you do your homework on what will and won’t work back in the States. Of course it is easy to load yourself up with personal purchases, but the real value is getting even more ideas of attractive products to start selling back home.

Factories in China:Our visit to a manufacturing plant in Huizhou left us all . . . well, ‘impressed’ hardly seems like a strong enough word. The building, on the outside was sort of drab looking with banners hanging here and there but inside was quite a different story. First of all we were treated as if we were VIPs instead of mid-level managers from Kenosha. Most importantly, however, the level of automation in this factory was remarkable, even by American standards and, when you look at the numbers, you see that the productivity is really impressive. It’s no longer a mystery to this American why China is finding such a willing market in America.

Back Again:I wish I had more than the seven days we were able to stay in China, but it won’t be long before I’m back, this time with a group of my friends who have been listening to me talking about the business opportunities since I got back… and who now want to go out there to get a piece of the action for themselves.

Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a form of outsourcing which involves the contracting of the operations and responsibilities of a specific business function to a third-party service provider. Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) has two delivery centers in China, one in Dalian and the other in Shanghai.

One of the most important advantages of BPO is the way in which it helps to increase a company’s flexibility. However, several sources have different ways in which they perceive organizational flexibility. Therefore business process outsourcing enhances the flexibility of an organization in different ways.

BPO vendors are offered on a fee-for-service basis. This helps a company becoming more flexible by transforming fixed into variable costs. Outsourcing may provide a firm with increased flexibility in its resource management and reduce response times to major environmental changes. Another way in which BPO contributes to a company’s flexibility is that a company is able to focus on its core competencies, without being burdened by the demands of bureaucratic dictate.

A third way in which BPO increases organizational flexibility is by increasing the speed of business processes. Using techniques such as linear programming is a way to reduce cycle time and inventory levels, which reduces a company’s slack. Finally, flexibility is seen as a stage in the organizational life cycle.

Dynasty offers a full-range of localization services which may be integrated into clients’ international market development efforts, enabling them to shorten product life cycles and even helping synchronize worldwide product releases. The main advantages of China are lack of good quality record in software, whereas India has a better image as quality supplier, ICRA said in its BPO industry report.

China has become the United States’ third-largest trading partner and the sixth-largest market for US exports. A rising US trade deficit with China has generated much heat but little light about unfair Chinese trade practices.

As China continues its rise as a great power, The United States Congress and the administration wrestle with one another over the proper tactics and strategies to shape US-China economic relations. The US trade deficit with China will greatly reduce if the US lifts high-tech-export restrictions to China.

A general relaxation of capital and foreign-exchange control in the context of free-floating exchange rates made speculative attacks on currencies regular occurrences. China Dynasty resources help our clients navigate the challenges of conducting trade and business activities with China. We help international businesses, particularly mid-market companies, to successfully pursue their strategic initiatives in China by offering customized and value-driven solutions that blend the industry expertise and integrated capabilities or our network of China Partners and China Trade Experts.

Whichever I choose is where I will be focusing my study abroad for the next 2 years. Should I just weigh out which language to take on its economic status, therefore Chinese? I am least interested in China and its culture but I think I would benefit from it more in the future.
